ऋद्घि-सिद्घि तव चंवर सुधारे। मूषक वाहन सोहत द्घारे॥८॥

कहौ जन्म शुभ-कथा तुम्हारी। अति शुचि पावन मंगलकारी॥९॥

एक समय गिरिराज कुमारी। पुत्र हेतु तप कीन्हो भारी॥१०॥

बरष्यो तप देखि भवानी। हरष्यो हर हृदय अकुलानी॥११॥

तब प्रसन्न होय त्रिभुवनेशा। बोले बचन सुनु गिरिबाला॥१२॥

मनोकामना पूर्ण होइ तुम्हारी। जन्मिहैं पुत्र हर्ष अपारी॥१३॥

तब ते गर्भ धारण कीन्हों। पुत्र जन्म हर्ष अति दीन्हों॥१४॥

भूले शिव चतुर्दशी राती। सकल सिसु मंगल गान कराती॥१५॥

पूर्ण भयो प्रसन्न जगदीशा। देखन चले सकल सुरेशा॥१६॥

नन्दी आगे धाएँ धर धीरा। देखत ही शंकरा शरीरा॥१७॥

बालक के शीश पर गिरि गहरायो। प्राण तजे सुर मुनि हर्षायो॥१८॥

तब ब्याकुल भई गिरिराजकुमारी। हाय! हाय! श्री पति पुकारी॥१९॥

प्राणनाथ! कहाँ गए तुम छोड़ि। सोच सागर मैं डूबी थोरी॥२०॥

तब हरिहर ब्रह्मा आए। गौरी के दु:ख सब बतलाए॥२१॥

चिंता मत करो गिरिजा तुम्हारी। जीवन हेतु उपाय हमारी॥२२॥

चलो शिवजी काशी पुरी आए। जहाँ गज के शीश विदिताए॥२३॥

गज के शीश को उतरि लीन्हों। बालक के शीश पर धर दीन्हों॥२४॥

प्राण पड़े बालक के तन माँहीं। हरष्यो हर हृदय अति नाहीं॥२५॥

नाम गणेश तब हरि हर बोले। मंगल कारण विघ्नहरण डोले॥२६॥

बुद्धि विवेक विद्या बल दीजै। संकट को दूर हरि लीजै॥२७॥

आरती कीजै जो नर गावै। बुद्धि विवेक संपत्ति पावै॥२८॥

सेवक जन की सदा सुख दीजै। विघ्न विंद्र संकट को कीजै॥२९॥

पूजा प्रतिदिन जो नर कीन्हें। तिनके काज सकल पुर कीन्हें॥३०॥

ध्यान धरै जो नित निर्मल मन से। ताके इच्छा पूर्ण हो तन से॥३१॥

Once upon a time, the daughter of mountain king (Parvati)
Performed severe penance for obtaining a son

Barashyo Tapa Dekhi Bhavani. Harashyo Hara Hridaya Akulani ॥11॥

Seeing the penance of Bhavani (Parvati), Lord Shiva became pleased and his heart was filled with joy

Taba Prasanna Hoya Tribhuvanesha. Bole Bachana Sunu Giribala ॥12॥

Then the Lord of the three worlds became pleased and said, "O daughter of the mountain, listen to my words"

Manokamana Purna Hoi Tumhari. Janmihain Putra Harsha Aparī ॥13॥

"All your desires will be fulfilled, and you will have a son who will bring you immense joy"

Taba Te Garbha Dharana Kinho. Putra Janma Harsha Ati Dinho ॥14॥

Then she conceived, and gave birth to a son, bringing great joy

Bhule Shiva Caturdashi Rati. Sakala Sisu Mangala Gana Karati ॥15॥

But Lord Shiva forgot that it was the fourteenth night (Chaturdashi), and all the children were singing auspicious songs

Purna Bhayo Prasanna Jagadisha. Dekhana Cale Sakala Suresha ॥16॥

When the Lord of the universe was fully pleased, all the gods came to see him

Nandi Agae Dhae Dhar Dhira. Dekhata Hi Shankara Sharīra ॥17॥

Nandi ran ahead with patience, and saw the body of Shankara

Balaka Ke Shisha Par Giri Gaharayo. Prana Taje Sura Muni Harshayo ॥18॥

A mountain fell on the child's head, and he gave up his life, causing gods and sages to grieve

Taba Byakula Bhai Girirajakumari. Hay! Hay! Shri Pati Pukari ॥19॥

Then the daughter of the mountain king became distressed and cried out, "O Lord, my husband!"

Prananatha! Kahan Gae Tum Chori. Soca Sagara Main Dubi Thori ॥20॥

"O Lord of my life! Where have you gone, leaving me alone? I am drowning in an ocean of sorrow"

Taba Harihara Brahma Ae. Gauri Ke Duhkha Saba Batalae ॥21॥

Then Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma came and told Gauri about all her sorrows

Cinta Mat Karo Girija Tumhari. Jivana Hetu Upaya Hamari ॥22॥

"O Girija, do not worry, we have a plan to bring him back to life"

Calo Shivaji Kashi Puri Ae. Jahan Gaja Ke Shisha Veditae ॥23॥

"Let's go to the city of Kashi, where an elephant's head is available"

Gaja Ke Shisha Ko Utari Linho. Balaka Ke Shisha Par Dhar Dinho ॥24॥

They removed the elephant's head and placed it on the child's body

Prana Pade Balaka Ke Tan Mahin. Harashyo Hara Hridaya Ati Nahin ॥25॥

Life entered the child's body, and Shiva was extremely happy
